Dura-Flo is a 100% solids, self-leveling, epoxy resin based floor topping designed to provide an attractive, joint-less, maintenance free surface that is highly resistant to most acids, alkalis and certain solvents. It is specially developed for application in areas where hardwearing protection is required for floors subject to either heavy foot or heavy vehicle traffic.
Features and Benefits:
Dura-Flo has been specially formulated from selected epoxy resins and curing agents to produce a finish of very high strength and durability which is able to withstand heavy factory traffic conditions.
It is a self-priming floor topping, which primes and finishes the floors in one step operation.
The seamless, 100% impervious surface of Dura-Flo does not hold dirt and easy to clean.
Unaffected by extreme heat, cold or humidity and is both durable and waterproof.
Excellent resistance to dilute acids, alkalis, oils and fats, salts, solvents, household chemicals, detergents etc.
Has very high compressive and flexural strengths.
It cures relatively very fast and with almost negligible shrinkage.
Adheres durably to a variety of substrates such as concrete, metal, stone, asphalt and wood.
Can be cured in conditions of high humidity and low temperatures.
Eliminates solvent hazards and ventilation problems.
Very high adhesive strength and mechanical properties.
Has excellent adhesion, toughness, abrasion resistance and overall chemical resistance.
Maintenance-free floor topping that results in fewer labour stops, less downtime and lower application costs.
Provides long-term protection and is cost-effective.
Recommended uses :
DURA-FLO can be used in almost any industrial application where there are floors that need replacing, repairing, protecting, dust-proofing, water-proofing, damp-proofing, making anti-slip, chemical resistant, easy to clean and hygienic.
Recommended for use where concrete, steel etc. is being degraded by mechanical wear and chemical attacks.

Surface Preparation :
Concrete:Concrete surfaces should be structurally sound and free of all contaminants. Lack of adequate surface preparation causes premature failure. Concrete surfaces should be grey or grey-white color and free from pits, pockets and holes. Prepare the surface with abrasive blasting or power tools. Surface imperfections should be filled in with DURAPATCH. No cement dust or sand should be dislodged. In absence of blasting, etch the surface with 10-15% muriatic acid diluted in water. Allow this acid solution to remain on the surface for 10-15 minutes or until the bubbling stops. Thoroughly rinse the floor with water to remove all traces of acid. Allow the floor to dry completely before painting.
New or poured concrete initially contains a considerable amount of surplus water. Therefore, new or poured concrete surfaces should be allowed to cure for at least 28 days prior to surface preparation and coating application that will help assure maximum performance of the floor system and satisfactory adhesion. A thin layer of weak material termed Laitance is common on the surface of new concrete. New concrete surfaces should also be abrasive blast cleaned or acid etched as described above.
Note : Dura-Flo can be used as a floor topping on wood, brick and metal surfaces. Contact Anupam for details.

Application Procedure :-
Dura-Flo consists of 3 components. These three components comprising Dura-Flo are supplied in pre-weighed quantities and are ready for mixing by hand, mechanical mixer or stirrer. Thoroughly mix the three components until the mixture becomes homogenous and pour on the prepared floor and spread with a serrated trowel to the required thickness following which it levels out to produce a smooth glossy surface.
Clean - Up :-
Clean-up hands, tools, gloves etc. immediately with ANUSOL - ETP Epoxy Thinner.
Caution :-
The job sites should be ventilated. The liquids may cause skin or eye irritation. Avoid direct contact with skin. Rub hands and face with a protective skin ointment. Before longer break periods and after completion of work, give the body careful washing. Rinse splashes from the eyes with plenty of water and borax solution. Wear protective clothing such as gloves, safety goggles and apron when mixing and applying DURA-FLO. Keep away from reach of children and persons not trained in its use and not aware of the potential hazards involved. All components of this system are intended for use by professionals only.
